Jonathan Alexander Pace was born in Detroit, Michigan to George Ransom Pace and Sybil Ruth (Sensing) Pace. He grew up the oldest of eight children in the Atlanta area. Jonathan attended Moody Bible Institute where he met his future wife, Diane Kenney Pace. They wed on September 1, 1962, at First Baptist Church, Asheville, NC. They settled in Marietta, Georgia raising four children, John David Pace, Deborah Jean Pace, Todd Mark Pace and Kimbrough Allen Pace. Jonathan retired from SunTrust Bank in 2006. A perpetual student of history, classical music and genealogy, he was considered the family historian completing research for over 45 years and active with the Pace Society of America for several years. Jonathan re-enrolled online with Southern New Hampshire University and was on the Honor Roll. Jonathan is survived by his wife Diane; son, David Pace and wife Julia of Kennesaw; daughter, Deborah Pace of McDonough; son, Kimbrough Pace and wife Alicia of Locust Grove; and seven beloved grandchildren. Also sisters Joan Thompson and husband Lonnie of Piedmont, AL; Sarah Pace Grubbs of Jacksonville, AL and Estelle Frisby of Niceville, FL as well as numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and loving friends across this nation.
